A new Jujutsu Kaisen movie and a brand-new anime are both set to release in 2025!
MFA
It's Wednesday—My First Anime newsletter day! I hope you're doing well and enjoying plenty of anime. At the end of this edition, I'll be making an important announcement, so be sure to stick around for that. Now, let's dive in!
News About Upcoming Anime
During the "Juju Fest 2024" event on Sunday, it was announced that the "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" arc from the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen will be adapted into a compilation film set for release in 2025. In case you need a refresher, this arc tells the story of Satoru Gojō and Suguru Getō during their school days when they were still friends. A visual for the film was also revealed.

ANIME TO WATCH THIS WEEK
This week, I recommend watching The Perfect Insider and Black Lagoon. As always, I'll be adding two more recommendations in the next newsletter on Saturday, bringing the total to four anime recommendations for the week.
The Perfect Insider
The Perfect Insider is a mystery suspense anime with a solid rating of 7.24 on MAL. Its intriguing plot will keep you on the edge of your seat. Although the first episode may seem slow, don’t let that deter you—things really start to pick up in the second episode. The story follows Sohei Saikawa from the Saikawa Research Lab, who, along with Moe Nishinosono, the daughter of his mentor, finds a corpse during a lab-sponsored vacation. Together, they unravel the mysteries behind what turns into a serial murder case.
Black lagoon
Black Lagoon is a quintessential American action anime, giving off a Hollywood vibe with its high-octane storytelling. With an impressive rating of 8.03 on MAL, it excels in story, characters, and animation. This is one of those anime where you can’t go wrong. The plot follows a Japanese businessman who is captured by modern-day pirates and abandoned by his company as dead. Disillusioned with corporate life, he decides to join the mercenaries who kidnapped him, becoming part of their gang.
POSTS PUBLISHED THIS WEEK ON MY FIRST ANIME
After seven long days, My First Anime is back with a new and intriguing post! While many of us prefer the original Japanese voice actors over English dubs, we all have our favorite seiyuu whose voices we love to hear in anime. But did you know that some voice actors have fallen in love with their fellow voice actors? It's a more common occurrence than you might think. In this post, MFA highlights some couples from the seiyuu world. Check it out to discover which of your favorite seiyuu are married to each other and learn a bit about their personal lives.
ANIME MEME
Since many of you enjoyed the first anime meme, I'm excited to continue the series. Here's the second one! Let me know if it made you laugh—I read all the replies.
Pseudo Harem is a very sweet anime 🥺
That’s all for today. As mentioned earlier, I have an announcement to make: The MFA newsletter will now be published every Saturday and Tuesday at 12 PM EST. I’ve scheduled it this way to avoid confusion, as having it every three days caused the day to shift. So, mark your calendars for Saturdays and Tuesdays, and there will be no more confusion. See you next Saturday!
Thanks, Madao from MFA.
