One light novel and three manga series are getting anime adaptations in 2025 🤩
It's Saturday, and My First Anime newsletter is back with its second edition. Today, I have some good news for fellow anime fans, and my head is full of ideas that I want to add to the newsletter. I want to make this newsletter the best in its sector, so let me show you what I have for you in this edition.
News About Upcoming Anime
Firehead and YahaKo's A Wild Last Boss Appeared! is getting a TV anime adaptation, as announced by the NBCUniversal Japan industry panel at Anime NYC on Friday. The panel revealed a 'super teaser visual' of the main character, Ruphas Mafahl, shattering glass, along with a special commemorative illustration by YahaKo, the illustrator of the fantasy light novel series.

ANIME TO WATCH THIS WEEK
In the previous newsletter, I recommended two anime: Gangsta. and Hell's Paradise. This week, I planned to suggest another two, but since Dororo has 24 episodes, it would be challenging to finish it and watch another series. Therefore, I’m suggesting only Dororo this week. It’s a fantastic anime, and I’m sure you'll enjoy it!
Dororo (2019)
Dororo is one of the best works of MAPPA Studio. The series has everything: an engaging story, mind-blowing animation, surprising twists, and lovable characters. The anime will never disappoint you. I only have one issue with the series—it is very fast-paced—but the story is still quite good. Also, some of you might love fast-paced anime, so that might not be a problem. Overall, it is a very good anime to watch if you haven’t already. I’m sure you will thank me later.
The story is about Lord Daigo Kagemitsu, who, driven by his greed for power, strikes a deal with demons to save his dying land. In exchange, his first son is born malformed and abandoned. Despite his disabilities, the child is saved and equipped with prosthetics by a kind medicine man. Now, he embarks on a quest to defeat the demons and reclaim his lost humanity. Along the way, he meets Dororo, a young orphan, and together they navigate the dangers of a world overrun by demons.
ANIME MEME
I haven’t uploaded a post on the website for the last 3 days, so there’s nothing new to share here. However, as compensation, I’ve created an anime meme for you! I think you’ll find it funny and relatable. Here it is:
Anime: Frieren: Beyond Journey's End
That's all for the second My First Anime newsletter. I will be back again in 3 days. Send me a reply if the meme is totally relatable to you and let me know if you’re excited about those upcoming anime I mentioned earlier. Stay healthy and safe, and watch a lot of anime.
Best regards,
Madao from MFA.
